We would like to thank you and your staff at Braveheart Kennels for the wonderful care of our 14 year old dog Nanook.  He has come back happy and completely different from when we have taken him to other kennels.  I am used to having to listen to him with a hoarse bark and lots of messes to clean in our yard for the days following his stay, but all of you did a wonderful job with him and I have not had any problems.  We will be back with him and any future dogs for your services!!  We will also be starting him on the supplement you reccommended for his joints in the next few days.

Dan took my aggressive Parsons Russel and within 15 mins turned him around 180 degrees to a submissive and mindful dog. Over the next 3 sessions Dan provided me with the tools to continue the great work he started by teaching me how to relate to my dog in dog terms and not by expecting my dog to understand human psychology.

Dan is a trainer who truly understands dogs and can teach you how to get the best from your dog"

Happy New Year

Dan, we had a great time hunting with you last Friday. Everything about your operation met or exceeded our expectations. You and Harold made us feel welcome all day, and while the weather and our shooting didn't help us on the goose hunt, the afternoon hunt was truly memorable. Your dogs were simply a joy to watch. Can't forget to mention Barbara's breakfast either. All of us appreciated her hospitality.

I took a few pictures and will get them to you within the next day or so.

Looking forward to hunting with you again soon.

Anthony

Daniel -

I wanted to write a note to you to tell you how well things are turning out with Athena after going through first your kenneling, and then your training program.

First off, I want to thank you for the high level of care you gave to Athena while she was in staying at Braveheart.  I initially chose your kennel because I took her to a local place a few times and she was crazy from lack of exercise when I got her home.  Braveheart's belief that a dog's exercise and play is a natural right is the reason I brought her in, though I hesitated initially about the long drive to bring her out.

But after having experienced how you guys care for and interact with your dogs, there is now no other option for us.  Now every time I need to board her, even if it's just for one night, I am bringing her to Braveheart.  I would feel this way if the drive were now doubled.

As far as the training program you provide, I have told everyone I know who owns a dog about what you offer.  Truly, it's like we came back with a different animal.  We didn't, of course -- the difference is what you taught us, and everything you've taught has served to make our home relaxed, calm and centered in a way it really wasn't before.  We are now much more confident in how we handle her, and as a result SHE is now more confident.

I strongly recommend what Braveheart teaches to anyone who is interested in having a sane, happy and balanced life with their dog.

Thanks again,

My best,
Sky and Marshall

Please accept this note as an expression of my pleasure with the training job that you did with my Yellow Lab, Belle.

During the time she spent with you she became a hard charging, confident and competent retriever. Your patient approach to her training was undoubtedly what made this success possible. You have taught her discipline, how to hunt, and to be a wonderful pet and sporting dog.

I appreciate your time and willingness to answer questions that I may have about my dog since I have taken her home and I would refer anyone thinking of training their dog to you.

I just wanted to tell you how happy I was with your kennel. Indy didn’t come home smelling of urine and it really made me happy that she didn’t eat her bed. That tells me that she was very happy while there. I think you have a loyal customer for now on!!! Which makes me happy as can be. . .since I’m so picky and every kennel I have used I haven’t liked. I just wanted to find a good kennel that when I go away I can have the same people caring for her each time. Travis was very impressed and think that you guys are very knowledgeable and are 2 very great people, we both agreed that you do what you say you are going to do with your clients and don’t try to just get money out of them. So about the training, we are more than willing to come back and continue with it. We are actually pretty excited about it.

Thank You Dan very much,

Missy

Dan,

You can bet we'll be back. You guys put on a great hunt, and the variety of dogs and styles of searching out birds was a joy to watch.

Joe was hunting for the first time and it was a kick to see him take his first bird with me. He's marrying my daughter next fall and so if we can hunt together he's family as far as I'm concerned.

Our companions - Brian and his father had also never bird hunted together, his father was a Brigadier General Ret, and Brian's already written to thank me for their time together - something they rarely have.

Thanks again,
Keith

Dear Dan,

Happy New Year, and most of all, thank you. I know you predicted that I would be contacting you three or so months after the training this summer, but I thought I’d give it six (we’re talking Seamus, after all).

And you know what? He’s a joy.

The “fraidy cat” stuff? Gone. The barking at every little “life is annoying/scary/visible” stuff? Gone. The pulling on a walk? Gone. The jumping and licking? Gone (okay, the licking is still a work in progress). It’s all done and gone, thanks to your training of both Seamus and myself.

The best part, really, is that with the e-collar, I can take Seamus for three-mile walks along the golf course in the evening on weekends. He can routinely retrieve (off leash) tennis balls thrown in the local park and at the field at the cabin without my worrying about him bolting (young dog exhaustion is truly a good thing). I can’t tell you the last time I actually had to use the remote; it’s just part of our outing, and he listens.

Interesting sideline: I, without realizing it at first, have been using the ch/ch sound when herding my classes in elementary school – dogs, kids, whatever, it works! I’ve noticed as well that I have been hearing other teachers use the same sound. You may want to expand your training.?

If you want to use any of this on your comments page, I would be honored; and if not, know that we are your customers for kennel and training for life.

Thanks again, Dan, you saved our love of our dog.

Dan,

I already miss coming out!  It was a great experience; I really enjoyed working with you and Anna and meeting Barb and all the puppies.  You have a special place!  The kids asked when we could go out again to visit the puppies so we'll be back before you know it.  I'd like to bring 'the boys' out to board June 28 and pick them up on July 5.

They are doing well and they are getting along much better than before.  Tucker is an 'A' student where Mosby has some work to do; he's stubborn but I'm not giving in.  I feel so much better knowing what I am supposed to do.  Thanks for your patience and for your guidance.  We are a much happier household with two well-behaved dogs!

Wendy

Daniel,

I just wanted to drop you a note and say that I’m really impressed with the training that your trainer /assistant, Anna provided for my dog, Decoy and I. I learned a lot from her and she was thorough with providing me the direction and information with the what, when, how and why behind the training. Decoy is much more focused and a well behaved chocolate lab thanks to your trainer and her knowledge. He is even swimming now and that is a big surprise as he was apprehensive of going into deep water . I have been taking him swimming every other night and he actually looks forward to that. I look forward to bringing him back to you for some potential hunting training. Please pass my sincere satisfaction and  appreciation to his trainer !!!!
